The United Arab Emirates is fully embracing technology, and it does not have a problem with AI tutors teaching their young ones in a classroom setting, with GPT-powered technologies it aims to push. UAE's Ministry of Education will soon introduce these ChatGPT AI-powered tutors to classrooms but claims it would not replace its educators.

It would be a human-AI effort to bring information and learning to students in the country, utilizing what technology has to offer and using it as a tool to further progress education for all.

GPT-powered AI Tutors to Teach in UAE Soon

According to a report by The National, a recent education summit in the country had its Minister of Education reveal its plans to utilize GPT-powered technology for its AI tutors to teach its students soon. It fully embraces what technology has to offer, and was not threatened by what it brings to the world, centering on the AI appearing in the classroom to teach.

As per the Minister of Education himself, Ahmad Al Falasi, UAE's Ministry of Education aims to integrate AI into its institutions to bring information and learning to students.

"At the Ministry of Education, we are committed to adopting trailblazing technologies and are collaborating with our partners to develop GPT-powered AI tutors and evolve education technology to elevate the education system in the UAE," Al Falasi claimed at the Alef Education Summit in Dubai.

Educators Remain, to Work Side-by-Side

The Ministry also assures that educators remain to bring learning to students, and would not be completely replaced with technology. They would work side-by-side with the AI tutors that the country would soon delegate to students in helping them learn more of their lessons.

According to Interesting Engineering, Al Falasi emphasized that this new method would further learning in a classroom setup for students, to also collaborate with the likes of Microsoft and OpenAI soon.

ChatGPT for Education?

ChatGPT was made by OpenAI to bring information to many, under its GPT-3 AI model that centers on delivering data and content to users, depending on its application. With OpenAI's development of AI tech, it was able to hit it off with the public to help them in generating content for different needs, using only keywords which proved to be effective.

In its prominence and rise to popularity, ChatGPT was frowned upon by educators as it serves as a "cheating system" which students resort to, for help in creating school work.

Educators claim that they would not automatically get high scores when using AI, and it would still be subject to the content they pass to the institution.

While there are others against ChatGPT, there are still some who accept AI technology for education in the world, and not just in UAE. Still, the Arab country serves as a good example for its adaptation of the technology present to us, one that puts to good use what OpenAI has to offer with its GPT model, soon to serve as tutors alongside educators.
